The one with pictures

. . . . . . . . (In no particular order) . . . . . .

Day 1 of hiking, about 20minutes before the skies opened up and poured down on us for the rest of the day. The rain was ok, the lightening storm made me skeered for mah life.

Day five foot bandaging.

Day two overlook

Day three- We found a signal!  Texts and video messaging with our families & friends was just the moral pick-up we needed to finish the day! (P.s. we like getting texts, so send us some!)

Aviator signal tower on top of Mt Something I Can't Remember:

Lifeguard's assesment of descents on rocks: "are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?"

Crossing the James River Foot Bridge.  Built in 2000, it's the longest footbridge on the AT.

Sponge baths, lunch, and foot soaks were enjoyed at the Matts Creek shelter.

Headed to Johns Hollow.

About 1/3 of the way up Mt Bluff. We thought we were pretty much done with the climb. WE WERE WRONG.

3.5 HOURS of climbing later, the top of Mt Bluff. Temps in the 90's and carrying all our water since there were no springs on the way up or down.
After I took this picture, I collapsed and died.

More to come!
